These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Nikola Artukov, a sole trader established at Svetog Dimitrija, Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia, trading as "LingoBlend" ("we," "our," or "us").
They apply to the LingoBlend mobile application, the LingoBlend Chrome browser extension, and the website at lingoblend.app (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
How we handle your data is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
1. Description of Service
LingoBlend helps you learn languages through an interactive dictionary, AI-assisted text blending and guided reading, graded reading stories, audio pronunciation, and learning games with spaced repetition. The mobile app is available for iOS and Android; the browser extension is available for Chrome.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or at least 16 if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Your Account
- Provide accurate information when you create an account.
- Keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Do not share your account or create multiple accounts to evade usage limits.
- Tell us immediately at support@lingoblend.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Subscriptions, Pricing and Cancellation
LingoBlend has a free tier and a paid Pro subscription:
- Free: core features with monthly limits — currently 3 AI "Smart Blend" texts, 3 photo imports, and 3 word-list imports per month. Basic Blend, the dictionary, and all learning games are unlimited.
- Pro: €4.99 per month, or €49.99 per year. Removes those limits and unlocks Pro features including B1–C2 stories, verb conjugations, AI example sentences, Immersive flashcard mode, advanced word packs, and blending from files and web pages.
Prices are shown in your local currency at purchase and may vary by region and by applicable tax. Subscriptions are sold and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us, and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged within 24 hours before renewal, at the then-current price. Manage or cancel at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play → Subscriptions on Android. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy.
Right of withdrawal (EEA and UK consumers). You normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for digital content. By starting your subscription and accessing Pro features immediately, you ask us to begin supplying the digital content during that period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once supply has begun. This does not affect your statutory rights if the Service is faulty or not as described, and it does not affect any more generous refund policy operated by the app store.
We may change prices, features, or free-tier limits. For changes that disadvantage you we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app or by email, and any price change takes effect only from your next renewal — you can cancel before it applies.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringing content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Service
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to access the Service
- Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them to us
- Interfere with or disrupt our servers or infrastructure
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or its output
6. Your Content
- You keep ownership of the text, photographs, files, and notes you submit.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for you — for example to blend, translate, narrate, or extract text from it. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
- You confirm that you have the right to submit what you submit. The Service lets you import arbitrary text, documents, and web pages. Do not upload material you do not own or have permission to use. You are responsible for your use of copyrighted works, including for private study.
- We do not guarantee that your content will be preserved. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Reporting infringement or harmful content. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights or is otherwise unlawful, email support@lingoblend.app with enough detail to identify it and to establish your rights. We will review promptly and remove or disable material where appropriate, and may suspend repeat infringers. Note that content you import is stored privately in your own account and is not published to other users.
7. Intellectual Property and Attribution
- The LingoBlend app, extension, website, design, branding, and original code belong to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own language learning.
- Example sentences are sourced from Tatoeba under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 France licence.
- Stock images are provided by Pixabay under the Pixabay Content License.
- Additional third-party attributions are listed in the app under Settings → Attributions.
8. Third-Party Services and AI-Generated Content
The Service depends on third parties for translation, AI processing, speech synthesis, authentication, analytics, and notifications; they are listed in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or policies, and outages may temporarily affect the Service.
Translations, blended texts, generated stories, example sentences, conjugations, and "fun facts" are produced automatically, in part by AI models. They can be wrong, awkward, or occasionally inappropriate. They are learning aids, not authoritative references, and must not be relied on for anything important. If you encounter generated content that is offensive or unsafe, report it to support@lingoblend.app.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will be accurate. If you are a consumer, this section does not limit statutory rights that cannot be excluded — including the right to a service supplied with reasonable care and skill.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.
Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or €50.
11. Indemnity
If you use the Service outside these Terms — in particular by submitting content you have no right to submit — you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising directly from that use. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach or negligence, and if you are a consumer it applies only where the loss was reasonably foreseeable.
12. Suspension and Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms. Where practical we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
- You may delete your account at any time in the app under Account Settings, or by emailing support@lingoblend.app. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through an app store — cancel that separately in the store.
- On termination your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — Sections 6 (ownership of your content), 7, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14 — continue to apply.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, and the courts of Serbia have jurisdiction over any dispute.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right. Consumers in the EU can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. We would much rather resolve things directly — please email us first.
14. General
- Severability: if a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
- No waiver: not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms. We may assign them on a business transfer, provided your rights are not reduced.
- Force majeure: we are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices: we contact you at your account email or in the app; you contact us at support@lingoblend.app.
15. Apple App Store
For the iOS app: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory, or intellectual property claims. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. If you continue using the Service afterwards, the updated Terms apply; if you do not accept them, you may delete your account.
